Model: Willys Jeep Brand: Tamiya Scale: 1/35

The start of this build began after i saw the movie 'The Bridge at Remagen', and saw this jeep and wanted to make one like it.

The chassis

Began contrustion on the subframe


Made a start on the chassis

A dry-fit of the jeep

I placed strengthening bars for the wire-cutter

Added an electricalcable for the fender mounted headlight

Also added the vacuumhoses for the vacuum operated windshieldwipers

I have added some extra detail.

I made reflectors for the headlights out of foil.

Then put in the little reflectors and lenses

I also made the hooks where the axe is placed in and added a strap for the shovel.

Here is the jeep before it got sprayed.

Here the jeep is in the primer. I have used grey primer, not white, because this will darken out the olive drab that is going on next.

A day later after the primer dried I have sprayed the jeep in (vallejo) olive drab.
